CLAIRE (Contact Lens Artificial Intelligence Research and Engineering) organized a webinar for the launch of its application platform for specialty contact lenses. The virtual event, which took place on November 17, 2021, was attended by Prof. Laura Batres, from the Complutense University of Madrid, and was moderated by Rafael Clérigo Gonçalves, CLAIRE’s Innovation Director.
Prof. Laura Batres addressed the issue of the main difficulties and complications that eye care professionals face in fitting specialty contact lenses. Then, Rafael Clérigo made a brief presentation of CLAIRE and spoke about the main advantages of this new concept for the adaptation of specialty contact lenses. Rafael Clérigo also demonstrated the CLAIRE application for the CRT ortho-k lens.
